Great news for Corporate Meeting Planners!
The American Meetings Network, Prime Supplier Member, Caesars Entertainment, held a groundbreaking celebration to mark the beginning of construction on an impressive 550,000-square-foot conference center in Las Vegas.
Roger Dow, president, and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association served as the event’s Master of Ceremony. The ground-breaking event was live-streamed to more than 7,000 viewers online.
Caesars Forum will feature two, 108,000-square-foot pillarless ballrooms, the largest in the world, and will have direct access to 8,500 hotel rooms. The center will have an outdoor event space, Caesars Plaza, and will be able to host more than 10,000 event attendees. Mark Frissora, President and CEO of Caesars Entertainment, announced that Caesars Forum already has $70 million worth of contracted business for the conference center – and this is before any construction has begun!
Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani spoke about the ways Caesars Forum will positively impact Las Vegas. Giunchigliani said the city appreciated Caesars Entertainment’s goal of achieving LEED Silver certification for the construction and applauded Caesars Entertainment for taking “the lead on gender equality and LGBT+ [rights].”
“Caesars Forum is setting the new standard for Conference Centers. With a contemporary design, massive pillarless ballrooms and prime location at the center of the Las Vegas strip, Caesars Forum promises to be a Meeting Planners dream venue. We are excited to welcome Caesars Entertainment as a Prime Supplier Member in The American Meetings Network and look forward to seeing this impressive project debut in 2020!” Said Paul Steinmetz, Director of the American Meetings Network.
